I have to admit, I didn't notice that it had wheat flour. However, I will admit that yesterday morning I inquired if Carolyn wanted anymore of the bread as I thought I would just finish it. She said yes but gave me a quizzical glance, wondering if I truly meant to eat the remaining 1/5 of a loaf for breakfast. And of course, the answer was yes. She took a sliver and I devoured the rest, having started my morning off just right.

Why have I not thought of this recipe before?!! This looks incredible! We're huge banana bread people in our house. Sometimes I add chocolate chips to them, but have not thought of cocoa powder. I'm definitely trying this next time!

Ellen: Yes, allow them to ripen and "get spotty" at room temp then freeze until ready to use. The skin will turn completely brown in the freezer. I usually just defrost in the microwave for a minute before peeling/mashing.

I love the combo of banana and chocolate. I will def try this recipe' and I am sure the folks at work won't mind either since I can't consume a whole loaf on my own!

This looks AMAZING! What is the best way to bake with overripe bananas? In other words, if I wait for bananas to ripen, should I freeze them until I am ready to use/bake with them?
